Our company actively participates in the development of green transportation

2023-7-14

On July 13, 2023, in issue No. 8012, China Traffic News reported under the title "Emission Control ‘Scouts’, Green Transportation ‘National Team’ - Accelerating the Pilot Tasks for Building a Strong Transportation Nation by the Ministry of Transport Planning Institute". The report highlighted how the Transportation Emission Control Monitoring Technology Laboratory (hereinafter referred to as the Laboratory) of the Ministry of Transport Planning Institute has focused on piloting tasks for building a strong transportation nation since its establishment. It closely supports strategic decisions at the national level concerning pollution reduction and carbon emission control in the transportation sector, actively promoting technology development, decision-making consultation, and outcome refinement. Continuous efforts have been made in areas such as green transportation planning, vehicle and vessel atmospheric pollution prevention and control, and monitoring and supervision of transportation pollution.

Anhui Lijian Defense Technology Co., Ltd., committed to serving society through technology and contributing to environmental protection, has jointly developed with the Laboratory an atmospheric pollution monitoring system for vessels using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy remote sensing technology. This aims to establish a monitoring technology system tailored to specific needs for controlling atmospheric emissions from ships in China, assisting in building a 'sea-land-air' three-dimensional monitoring network. The developed monitoring equipment extends the regulatory scope from docked vessels to all ships within a 2-kilometer offshore range, reducing detection time from 2 hours to within 15 minutes. It enables proactive, long-distance, large-area, non-contact monitoring of atmospheric pollutants emitted by vessels. Without boarding ships, it can remotely identify suspected vessels illegally using high-sulfur fuel, significantly enhancing law enforcement efficiency and achieving notable social benefits.

Our company, in collaboration with the laboratory, has conducted experiments using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy remote sensing equipment for monitoring ship exhaust emissions.
